Calculate your Body Mass Index and find out which range you are in. Free and instant.
BMI (Body Mass Index) relates your weight to your height: weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. The WHO uses it to classify underweight, normal, overweight and obesity.
It is an indicative metric: it does not tell muscle from fat, so treat it as a first reference, not a diagnosis.
Divide your weight in kilograms by your height in meters squared. Example: 70 kg and 1.75 m → 70 ÷ (1.75 × 1.75) = 22.9 (normal).
According to the WHO: below 18.5 underweight; 18.5–24.9 normal; 25–29.9 overweight; 30 or more obesity.
With caveats: muscle mass weighs a lot, so a muscular person can show as overweight while being fit. In that case, body fat percentage is a better indicator.
